Placement Monitor
The Product Placement Monitor 2008 informs about the current
situation in Germany. It is based on written and oral interviews
which have been conducted since 1996. Andreas Waldner is the
initiator, he himself being involved with the subject by teaching
and working in this field since the early 1990ies. The scientific
supervision is by Prof. Dr. Iris Ramme of the University of
Nürtingen-Geislingen (Germany). „In addition to
the documentation of nearly twelve years, the current research
addresses the question of the impact of product placement
on advertising. Furthermore the effects of the new directive
for Television as published by the European Union will be
covered,“ says Prof. Dr. Iris Ramme.
